This will be a weekend for spaniel owners working at novice level.
Dogs should have a good level of obedience and a good basic retrieve (delivery to hand can be worked on).
This training weekend is not suitable for dogs who are aggressive towards dogs or people, who require a long line, or who are gunshy. Dogs must be over 1 year of age.

WEEKEND PLAN (subject to change)
Day 1 Saturday 4th May 9:30 – 4pm
Heelwork and loose lead walking with and without distractions
Sit and steadiness – building steadiness with increasing distractions
Refreshments and break/chat
Recall and engagement
Stop Whistle -getting a snappy stop whistle
Lunch (not provided)
Hunting – quartering/turn whistle/keeping close/using their noses/how wind effects hunt patterns
Retrieving – Marked/memories/blinds/obstacles
Dinner and a drink at local pub included on first evening (dog friendly)
Day 2 – Sunday 5th May 9:30 – 4pm
Hunting in pairs
Stop to shot
Refreshments and break/chat
Retrieving in pairs building steadiness
Water retrieves if time allows
